Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Principles of design and dimensioning of telecommunications networks capacity. Learning outcomes are set so that the students are able to identify and apply tasks in the field dimensioning and optimizing networks.

Network operating matrix, real-time management, ATM network management, queueing system with losses, queueing system with waiting periods, ISDN quality rating, control mechanisms in ATM networks, mathematical models of sources loaded in ATM networks, statistical modeling in ATM networks, networks optimization methods, signalling networks optimization methods.
