Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Understand the programming services and the creation of advanced switching systems. Learning outcomes are set so that the students are able to identify and apply to tasks related to the management and programming of telephone exchanges. Students can programm in language AMO, they know possibilities of communication servers series hipath, commonly used applications and services in corporate communication.

Summary

Subject purposes is to put student near problems with administration of corporate communication systems. This course takes place in laboratory which is equipped the newest versions of communication servers Siemens hipath4000,3000,2000 and partially hipath8000 as well.

Conditions for credit: Student can obtain max. 40 points for seven evaluated themes which are submitted during semestr, a minimal required score is 20 points.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: Introduction into corporate communication systems of hipath series. Hardware structure of h4k, control, trunk and station modules. IP distributed architecture, IP trunks, IP subscribers and survivability solutions. System, team and supplementary services. AMO language, structure of command, CLI, operation and maintenance terminal, AMO caching. Subscribers configuration - system digital lines, analog lines and IP phones, AMO SCSU,SBCSU. Digit analysis - AMO WABE, subscriber data - AMO SDAT and Personal data - AMO PERSI. Pick up groups, com groups and hunting groups - AMO AUN, COMGRP, SA. Keypad functions, destinations and hotlines - AMO TAPRO, ZIEL, HOTLN. ISDN lines and multi-line key systems, AMO KCSU. Board configuration and basic maintenance of system - AMO BCSU, DSSU, SDSU, HISTA, LOGBK. Fundamentals of networking - BUEND, COT, COP, TDCSU, RICHT, LODR, LDAT, LDPLN, REFTA. Advanced applications - unified messaging, fixed mobile convergence, central telephone directory, CTI. Call detail recording and billing. Exercises: Orientation in lab and practical demonstration of hipath series systems. Description of hipath modules and their behaviour in lab and explanation of wiring modules from backplane to main distribution frame or patchpanels. Laboratories: Configuration of IP subscribers and IP trunks. Supplementary services, using and description (submission of theme No.1 - 6 points). AMO commands and configuration of maintenance terminal. Subscriber configuration (submission of theme No.2 - 6 points). Subscriber data and Personal data (submission of theme No.3 - 7 points). Pick up groups, com groups and hunting groups (submission of theme No.4 - 7 points). Keypad functions, destinations and hotlines (submission of theme No.5 - 7 points). ISDN lines and multi-line key systems, practical configuration. Board configuration and basic maintenance, practical configuration. Internetworking - configuration of trunk (submission of theme No.6 - 7 points). Configuration of selected advanced applications. Accountix - billing.
