Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
This course will span the spectrum of the field to provide a survey of computer audio that will be useful to students in computer science, HCI, information design, and psychology. We will begin the course at the low level, covering how people hear, as well as how sound can be represented, synthesized, processed, and spatialised. We will then progress to examining current research in audio including its uses in interfaces, virtual environments, gaming, and film. Homework assignments will allow students to experiment with sound and gain expertise in the areas mentioned above.
The goal is start up to problems of accurate reproduction of images and sound. In the scope of the schooling with students, they became familiar with work with professional tools for work with visual and sound records
Graduates will can work with images and with sounds on profession level, they will can judge the quality of projected equipment and appraise technology for studio production.

Subject familiarizes with principles of sound and video records. There are highlighted problems of accuracy reproduction of images and sounds, its production and technical requirements. In scope of the schooling with students, they became familiar with work with professional tools for work and visual and sound records. As the half-year work, they can create own program on cutting workplaces in laboratory. In the subject students are educated in: - principles of production of and postproduction of, authoring - selected technical tools for work with images and sounds - problematic production of CD, VCD, SVCD, DVD. - archival on modern media Subject is dedicated firstly for students, who assume your own work will introduce on modern level multimedia apparatus and on Internet. The study knowledge tends to be renewing by excursions up to studio and on workplace with relevant information technologies. Minimal qualification study of title is knowledge work with PC. In the laboratory of are supplied by different types computers, there are used for multimedia means of the schooling and programs for individual creation multimedia projects and www pages. Students within scope of the half-yearly project will create own www page and scholastic project. Student is classified by created Essays; Half-yearly work (scholastic project) and concluding test.

Content and form of assessed works:
Essay: Technical exposition fabricated on the base of minimally three sources (two of them must be of foreign origin and language) at the theme in accordance of student's selection, must be approved by lecturer. The layout is given at the beginning of the semester.
Scholastic project: Presentation with CD media. Student performs the project, and comments how the assignment was fulfilled.
