Teaching methods
Summary
Participant will introduce step by step with measurement and process signal analysis with help of computers and signal processors. Application, Half-yearly work and laboratory tutorial are oriented on technology of modern ways of data transfer and its processing. There are explained the principles of electromagnetic compatibility and its practical utilization to eliminate interference. Themes are exercised in the laboratory tasks. Laboratories are furnished by devices, mainly controlled by various types of computers and instruments of world famous producers. In the tutorials are integrated multimedia means and simulating and visualization programs. Within the title students perform explanation: - principles of modern IT application, terminology, documentation for electronic instruments and technology of electronic measurement. Students became familiar with virtual instrumentation, mobile instrumentation. The title is suitable for students of other lines and faculties, if they would be familiarized with measurements with IT technology. The study knowledge tend to be renew by excursions to the up to the enterprises, research institutes and project organizations. Student is classified by created Essay, laboratory tasks, one Half-yearly work and concluding test.
Compulsory literature:
Recommended literature:
Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Verification of study:
Essay - up to 7. week
Laboratory work - 8 records, by hand/electronic way, up to 14. week
Half-yearly work 1 made over for credit
Credit starting from14.week
Content and form of assessed works:
Essay: Technical exposition fabricated on the base of minimally three sources (two of them must be of foreign origin and language) at the theme in accordance of student's selection, must be approved by lecturer. It has to comprise annotation at the beginning and the bibliography at the end (arranged in accordance with valid standards). The layout is given at the beginning of the semester.
Laboratory work Record-containing documentation of the measurement performed in the laboratory. For tasks are used world famous and most present instruments. Student must be able with his documentation re-reproduce the task. Half-yearly work: Solving of the more extensive problem (model) from the region of the technology of the measurement systems and operational instrumentation, include realization of the hardware and software components. The documentation must contain the comprehensive problem solving description. The vindication is successful, when the student presents his own result, explains independently function, presents whole documentation of the solving method, including theory, including constructional and project arguments and including function verification and comments how the assignment was fulfilled. Student must be able the half-year work to publicize by locating on the WEB server.
