Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of subject is to give knowledge from the area of the industrial control systems technology. This subject introduces industrial sensors, simple regulators and their settings, complicated control systems realized on industrial PC with digital and analog quantities and wide communication possibilities, further industrial actuators and both electric and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Leaver gains knowledge about industrial sensors, regulators and actuators, programming methods of control with industrial PC and on own semestral project realize regulation within the scope of offered labours.

Summary

Student meets with industrial sensors, simple regulators and their settings, complicated control systems realized on industrial PC with digital and analog quantities and wide communication possibilities, further industrial actuators and both electric and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Within semestral project student proofs practicaly technical elements and programming in choosen work. In labs they are laboratory tasks controlled by computers with DAQ cards and relevant software generally. In subject explanation is performed: - terminology for local and centralized control systems - programmable DAQ cards - hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and elektric elements and systems Subject is suitable for students by other branches and faculties if they want to be familiarized with control technology. Student is classified on the base of elaborated report, laboratory works, one semestral project and final test.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Verification of study: Deadlines: Report - electronic form - untill 8th week. Laboratory work - electronic form, passing untill 14 days by submission. Semestral project - electronic form, passing during presentation, necessary condition for grant the credit. Content and form of particular rated works: Report: Proffesional essay on students' choosen theme agreed by lesson leader. Formal lay-out is given at the beginning of semester. Laboratory work: Protocols including documentation of performed measurement in laboratory. Semestral project: Solution of more extensive problem (model) by area of measurement systems technology including technical and proggramm components realization. Documentation have to include full description of solution. Respondent demonstrates the product and explains its function, he/she proposes documentation with full process of measurement of solution including theoretical debate, contructional and projects background, function verifying and expresses to submission fulfill. Student has to prezent his work in public. Conditions for credit: Credit is granted in the event of refunding of all projects, works passing and presentation of semestral project.

Lectures: Fundamental terms from industrial control system technology areas Analog filtration Digital filtration Industrial regulators and their settings Industrial PCs for control, measuring and communications interfaces Operating systems and visualization for control Electric drive in regulation Stepper drive and their control Industrial communication Industrial wireless communication Hydraulic elements and systems Pneumatic elements and systems Final test Laboratories: Laboratory work fundamentals. Semestral works and reports themes proposal Calculation, modelling and realization of analog filter Calculation and modelling on-off and PID regulator DAQ card service introduction in Windows, development of program in C# language Development of demo program for digital input and output control, PWM Development of demo program for analog input and output control Development of demo program for simple PID regulation and serial communication DAQ card service introduction in Linux, development of control application Visualization possibilities in OS Windows Visualization possibilities in OS Linux Remote control and monitoring Semsestral work Semestral work presentation Projects: Each student elaborates report with given theme and two laboratory works, prepares demo program, which is the base for semestral project.
