Graduate Course knows the basic theory, methods, types of data mining, can be practically applied to real data from structured databases, can analyze data from the sociological surveys, scientific experimental research, can analyze data from data warehouses.

Objects, atributes, data analysis methods. Statistical and exploratory analysis. Factor analysis. Cluster analysis, nonhierarchical and hierarchical clustering. Associations. Discovering rules in information trees. Expert system for objects or atributes analysis.

Subject syllabus:

Přednášky: Vymezení problémů analýzy mnohorozměrných dat. Vstupní data, typy dat z hlediska formálního a významového. Hrubá filtrace. Chybějící údaje, dichotomizace, kategorizace Předzpracování dat, transformace. Normalizace, standardizace. Transponování matice dat. Metoda hlavních komponent. Metody analýzy dat: matematická statistika a explorační analýza dat. Metody popisné. Shluková analýza, metody nehierarchické. Shluková analýza, metody hierarchické. Shluková analýza, prezentace a interpretace výsledků. Hledání asociací, automatická tvorba hypotéz. Asociace, prezentace a interpretace výsledků. Konstrukce rozhodovacího stromu, prezentace a interpretace. Vazby metod předzpracování a analýzy dat. Expertní systém založený na datové matici. Cvičení: Procvičování metod z přednášek na příkladech konkrétních dat. Referáty o nových metodách dolování z dat. Referáty o výsledcích vlastní analýzy. Projekty: Analýza konkrétních dat z vlastní praxe nebo z databáze - analýza potřeb a možnost Předzpracování, výběr vhodných metod Vlastní výpočty, interpretace. Referát, dokumentace.
