The course provides basics of mathematics so that the students may successfully continue in further work in mathematics at technical universities.

Summary

This course serves students as a repetition and revision of secondary school mathematics.

Compulsory literature:

R. G. Brown, D. P. Robbins: Advanced Mathematics (A Precalculus Course), Houghton Mifflin Comp., Boston 1989. Libor Šindel: Principles of mathematics (The text is in electronic form).

Recommended literature:

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Studenti budou průběžně řešit příklady k procvičení. Podmínkou udělení zápočtu je aktivní účast na cvičeních a úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu.

Subject syllabus:

Exercises: Mathematical logic and set theory. Number domains. Algebraic expressions. Functions and their properties. Exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Equation and inequalities. Analytic geometry.
