Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will demonstrate the ability of independent engineering. Individual work on a given topic will be supervised by the tutor. Usually this is the final phase of the thesis, which aims to utilize solutions already developed in the past and complete the thesis in accordance with the supervisor’s specifications and instructions.

Summary

Within the course students solve tasks related to the given thesis.They complete the related works, find out a solution of the thesis, present the results and convert the text of the thesis.

Compulsory literature:

Basic literature will be determined by the thesis supervisor according to the topic. Mandatory guidelines for the thesis are available on web pages of FEI VŠB-TU Ostrava.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Podmínky udělení zápočtu: Podmínky udělení zápočtu určí vyučující - vedoucí diplomové práce. Zpravidla se jedná o splnění stanovených cílů závěrečné fáze řešení diplomové práce, o odevzdání dokončené diplomové práce v rozsahu stanoveném v jejím zadání a v termínu definovaném v harmonogramu studia.

The solution of partial tasks (projects) related to the topic of the thesis and provided teachers, which lead to the successful completion of the diploma work.

Subject syllabus:

exercise: Practices take place in consultation with the instructor, who leads a specific project. Establishing a timetable for the project - the final stage of solving the thesis. Regular consultation with the teacher. Continuous presentation of partial results. Recommendations for thesis preparation - outline and arrangement of text, range, typographic treatment, means to rate the quality of language. Information about electronic processing of the thesis. Information on the form and thesis defense. Preparing for the defense of the thesis through presentation about the current state of solution thesis. Information about the state final examinations. projects: The solution of partial tasks (projects) related to the topic of the thesis and provided teachers, which lead to the successful completion of the diploma work.
