Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The work aims to prove the ability of independent engineering work. Individual work according to the assigned topic of work under the guidance of the teacher. This is usually the final phase of the implementation of the diploma thesis, the aim of which is to solve the already developed diploma thesis and its completion following the assignment and according to the supervisor's instructions.

Summary

Within the Diploma Project II, the student solves tasks related to the assigned diploma thesis under the guidance of a designated teacher. He completes its solution, presents its results, and processes the text of the diploma thesis.

Compulsory literature:

- Basic literature will be determined by the thesis supervisor according to the topic. - Mandatory guidelines for the thesis are available on web pages of FEI VŠB-TU Ostrava.

Recommended literature:

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

The final version of the diploma thesis submitted to IS Edison must follow the faculty Guidelines for Writing Theses (https://www.fei.vsb.cz/en/study/information-and-guidelines/). Otherwise, the thesis tutor does not have to grant credit for the subject DP II. The conditions and award of credit are determined by the teacher - the supervisor of the diploma thesis. As a rule, it is about fulfilling the set objectives of the final stage of the diploma thesis, handing in the completed diploma thesis in the scope specified in the diploma thesis assignment and settling the conditions the supervisor of the diploma thesis, the deadline defined in the study schedule.

The solution of partial tasks (projects) related to the topic of the thesis and provided teachers, which lead to the successful completion of the diploma work.

Subject syllabus:

Exercises: Exercises take place in the form of consultations with the teacher who leads the specific thesis. The student focuses mainly on: 1. Determining the project solution schedule - the final stages of the diploma thesis. 2. Regular consultations with the teacher. 3. Continuous presentation of partial results. 4. Elaboration of the text of the diploma thesis following the Instructions for the elaboration of final theses at the faculty. 5. Preparation for the defense of the diploma thesis in the form of presentations on the current state of the diploma thesis.
