Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to demonstrate independent engineering work skills. Independent work according to the assigned project topic is developed under the guidance of the project leader. After initial familiarization with the problem, the student proposes a solution, which he/she works on according to the instructions of the project leader. Upon completion of the project, the student prepares a final report and presentation of the project results.

Summary

Within the Semester Project, the student solves tasks related to the assigned semester project under the guidance of a designated teacher. He/she gets acquainted with the problem to be solved, proposes a solution and works on it. The student completes the project, prepares a final report and presents the results of the semester project

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students' knowledge is verified in regular consultations with the semester project leader. The conditions for granting credit are determined by the teacher - the semester project leader.

Subject syllabus:

Exercise: Exercises are conducted in consultation with the instructor leading the specific project. - Determination of the schedule for the project. - Determination of the software and hardware tools and literature required for the project and their provision. - Regular consultations with the teacher. - Ongoing presentation of partial results. - Recommendations for the preparation of the final report of the semester project - outline and arrangement of the text part, scope, typographic design, typesetting devices, language quality. - Information on the course and form of the defence of the final report of the semester project. - Preparation for the defence of the final report of the semester project in the form of presentations on the current status of the semester project.
