Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge in special topics of biomedicine, interpretation of data for clinicians, electronic tools for diagnostics and topic related to precision medicine. In addition, this knowledge and skills will be further enhanced in a direction that is in line with the specific focus of its Ph.D. studies and dissertation work.

Summary
Students will be acquainted with specific interesting examples / cases of patients, mechanisms of disease development and progression, will learn about the importance of identifying new biomarkers, designing treatment strategies and the key role of personalized medicine. The topics will focus on the individualization of therapy from a history of subjective and objective symptoms to a diagnosis of the disease. Also, the topics will focus on improvement of treatment approaches by implementing other disciplines that bring new knowledge about the etiopathogenesis, the origin and the development of the disease.

Subject syllabus:
• topics according to the expert knowledge of the invited lecturer - haemato-oncology, immunology, orthopedics, other
• interpretation of cases - clinical symptoms, pathological laboratory findings, family history
• therapeutic strategies - available / in development
• diagnostic strategies
• search for and use of multivariate analysis, electronic calculators in clinical practice
• application of new findings in the study of human genome, repair mechanisms to develop personalized treatment
• special topics related to precision medicine
