The subject consists of the basic parts of the ODE-s theory and practice.

M. Braun: Differential Equations and Their Applications. Springer, Berlin 1978.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures and tutorials: -Ordinary differential equations (ODE) - motivations, models -Definitions of the solution of ODE, solution of the Cauchy problem -Separable ODE -Linear ODE of the first order -Theorems about the solvability and uniqness for solution of the Cauchy problem -Bernoulli ODE -Exact ODE, integration factor -Linear ODE of the higher orders -Homogeneous systems of ODE -Nonhomogeneous systems of ODE, the method of the variation of constants
