Summary
The course is oriented on basic skills in document preparation in LaTeX typographic system allowing to obtain scientific documents on profesional level, especially for the documents with mathemati formulas. The role of practical exercising on students' own laptops is stressed. The exercises include a work on student tasks as laboratory reports, semestral projects, etc.

1. Introduction to LaTeX and TeX, Linux and Windows freeware implementations and instalation
2. Basic text formating operations
3. Design of page layout, codument classes
4. Mathematic typography in LaTeX,
5. Additional packages for mathematical typography support
6. Perparation and design of lists, theorems, itemization
7. Tables and arrays, multiple columns
8. Organizing the document, cross-referencing, large documents
9. BibTeX and its using
10. Graphics and its including into LaTeX documents
11. Freeware graphics editors and their cooperation with LaTeX
12. Other possibilities how to use LaTeX: typeseting of presentations and posters
