Summary
Students are acquainted with the distribution of surface treatments and the basics of corrosion. These are pre-treatment of material surfaces (mechanical and chemical). Methods of surface technology: vacuum methods, thermal sprays, glass ceramic coatings and organic coatings, coating technology. Quality evaluation of coatings: mechanical properties, adhesion of coatings, selected experimental methods of study of surface layers of materials.
