students carry out simple simulations of basic technical problems concerning fluid mechanics and heat transport, verify them and predict their application limits

Summary
Cílem předmětu je seznámení studentů se základními pojmy z oblasti modelování proudění a simulací CFD pomocí software ANSYS Fluent 12.1.4. Po absolvování předmětu by studenti měli být schopni samostatně vytvářet jednoduché simulace základních technických problémů z oblasti mechaniky tekutin a sdílení tepla.

1. Matematic model, hydrodynamic system, need for numerical simulation by means of CFD
2. CFD application possibilities and strategy
3. Discretization by finit element and finit volume method
4. Implementation of boundary conditions into the discretized problem
5. Discretized problem solution
6. Nonlinear problems, direct and non direct solvers
7. Iterative convergence and numerical stability, turbulence modelling
8. Mesh preparation in program ANSYS Meshing
9. Model tasks in program ANSYS Fluent
