Summary

The subject deepens the knowledge of elementary particles and nuclei. The classic and quantum theories of scattering, properties and models of the atomic nuclei, radioactive decay and nuclear reactions form the basis of the subject.

Compulsory literature:

1.L. Valentin: Subatomic Physics: Nuclei and Particles, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, North-Holland, 1981. 2. R.F. Casten: Nuclear Structure from a Simple Perspective, Oxford, 2001.

Recommended literature:

1. P. Ring, P. Schuck: The Nuclear Many-Body Problem, Springer, 1980. 2. N.K. Glendenning: Direct Nuclear Reactions, World Scientific, 2004.
