Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The lecture deals with the phenomenological description and the basics of quantum description of magnetism in solids. In the introduction it gives an overview of the origin of magnetism and the basic magnetic arrangement in the materials. It also deals with the description of interactions in magnetic materials, magnetic domains and magnetic hysteresis. The last part deals with the introduction to nanomaterials magnetism.
