Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student learns fundamentals of optics. Attention is focused: (1) on theoretical principles, which will be applied in consequent study, (2) on learning of ability to solve physical problems in optics and apply mathematical knowledge in description of optical phenomena, (3) to get wide knowledge and summary of optical methods in modern applications.
