Summary

Subject includes three thematic parts, which upgrade physical knowledge to the one needed in mining applications. First part includes basic thermodynamic processes applied to real gasses and mixture of gasses. The second part deals with basic laws of physics applied to rocks. The third part includes physical principles of modern measuring methods.

Compulsory literature:

1. Physical Propertis of the Mineral Systems of the Earths Interior, GFÚ ČAV and JČMF, Praha, 1995 2. Zwicker, C.: Physical properties of solid materials. Pergamon Press, London, 1994
