Project work

Summary

Předmět navazuje na předměty Fyzika I a Fyzika II, zejména pak na předmět Kvantová fyzika. Prohlubuje znalosti z elementárních částic a atomu jako složené částice (symetrická a asymetrická vlnová funkce). Klasická a kvantová teorie rozptylu, vlastnosti a modely atomového jádra tvoří těžiště předmětu (jádro atomu). Detailní popis jaderných přeměn (mononukleárních, binukleárních a multinukleárních) je nutný ke studiu jaderné energetiky, kam patří štěpení a syntéza jader a řízené termojaderné reakce (zrcadlové nádoby, tokamak, pinch - efekt, elektronový svazek a laserové plazma). Na předmět navazují experimentální metody jaderné fyziky v aplikačních předmětech diagnostických metod a defektoskopie.

Subject syllabus:

1. Elementary particles (interactions, characteristics, clasification, structure). 2. Atom as a complex body (structure, electron cloud, atomic orbital, electron configuration). 3. Atomic nucleus - (scattering theory, nucleus characteristics, models of atomic nucleus) 4. Nuclear properties (stable and unstable isotopes, radioactive decay, binuclear and multinuclear tranformations) 5. Nuclear energetics (nuclear energy, nuclear fission, nucleosynthesis, nuclear fusion Laboratory tasks: 1. Characteristis of the Geiger-Müller detector 2. Study of the electron-positron anihilation 3. Verification of the statistic character of the decay law 4. Verification of the Ba half-life 5. Determination of the mass attenuation coefficient of the beta Kr radiation The tasks are measured in the specialized laboratory of the atomic and nuclear physics at the Faculty of cience at the Palacký University OLOMOUC.
