Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Conclude essential ideas in the elastic and plastic deformation sphere Arrange and discuss basic parameters of the hardening curve Summarize essential heat activated processes Choose and discuss plastic deformation of the alloys and polycrystalline metals Analyze and discuss plastic deformation of the alloys and polycrystalline metals

Teaching methods

Individual consultations

The first section deals with structural properties of the ideals and real crystals. The theoretical characterizations and fundamental experimental methods are showed. The second part is focused particularly at the plastic deformation of pure metals and alloys. The hardening and softening mechanisms depending on various physical parameters are studied.
