Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject includes physical properties of thin films, interfaces, and surfaces, preparation of thin films, characterization of thin films and its applications. It is focused on optics of thin films and surfaces, optical characterization methods, application in optics, magnetism of thin films, magnetic properties of thin films and surfaces, magnetic applications. Electric properties of thin films and electric effects on interfaces are also included. Special attention is devoted to technology of preparation of ultrathin films of thicknesses in range of several nm and subsequent litographic methods and nanostructurization.
