Subject syllabus:

1. Compendium of nuclear physics (structure and properties of atomic nuclei, radioactivity and nuclear reactions). 2. Detectors in nuclear and particle physics (gas, scintillation and semiconductor detectors, nuclear emulsions, calorimeters). 3. Sources of ionizing radiation (natural, artificial). 4. Accelerators (linear, circular). 5. Interaction of ionizing radiation with matter. 6. Dosimetry. Dosimetric measurements. 7. Nuclear dating techniques. 8. Nuclear analytical methods. 9. Nuclear imaging methods. 10. Nuclear magnetic resonance. 11. Applications in material research. 12. Applications in medicine and food processing. 13. Nuclear reactors. Nuclear fusion. 14. Excursion.
