Gain of knowledges on inherent behaviour of elements in Earth crust with their following application for interpretation in areas influenced by human activity.

Vznik chemických prvků ve Vesmíru a jejich geochemická klasifikace. Mobilita prvků v závislosti na prostředí. Termodynamika geochemických procesů. Geochemické procesy v kontinentální a oceánské kůře. Geochemické a biogeochemické cykly. Metody geochemické prospekce. Antropické geochemické vlivy. Geochemie průmyslových imisí a organických látek. Statistické a laboratorní analytické metody v geochemii.

Subject syllabus:

External and internal factor of geochemical behaviour of elements. Geochemical classification of chemical elements. The behaviour of chemical elements in different environment. The importance of pH and redox potential. Geochemical system, their compounds and phases. Thermodynamics of geochemical processes. Geochemical steady state. The composition of Earth crust. Cycles developments of Earth crusts. Interaction between Eart crust and mantle. The methods for determination of absolute age of rocks, their heart, methods for determination and interpretation. Geochemical characteristics of volcanic rocks. Wheathering processes, their geochemical characteristics and importance. Geochemical classification of sediments. The behaviour of elements during methamorphic processes. Hydrothermic processes and characterization of liquids. Geochemical function of biosphere. Geochemical and biogeochemical cycles. Hydrogeochemistry Geochemical behaviour of ore elements. The review of geochemical prospecting methods. Theoretic basis of methods. The utilization of prospecting methods for diagnostic purposes of contamination of environment. Geochemical prospecting methods. Trace elements in active sediments and surface waters. Geochemistry of urban areas and industrial areas, antropogenic geochemical influences. Geochemistry of air pollution - PM10 particles.
