Goal of the subject is to provide knowledge to the university student, so he/she will be able to understand given points at issue good enough to analyse its content, to realise synthesis of the acquired information and its evaluation. Summary

Purpose of the reserves estimation. Terms of the mineral deposits reserves and resources (national and international classifications and problems of their relations). Geological and mineable reserves, their relations (geological, technical and economical models of the mineral deposits). Conditions for the mineral reseves assesment. Main parameters of the mineral deposits for reserves estimation. Methods for reserves estimation (traditional and modern). Estimation of the mineable reserves. Accuracy reserves estimation. Rational reserves utilization and problems of the mineral deposit reserves management.

Subject syllabus:

1. Purpose and utilization of the reserves estimation. Fundamentals terms of the mineral deposits reserves and resources. 2. Principles of the mineral deposits reserves and resources classification, national and international classifications and problems of their relations, 3. Geological and mineable reserves, their significance, relations (geological, technical and economical models of the mineral deposits). 4. Conditions for the mineral deposits reseves assesment, importance and main guestions of theïr creation. 5. Fundamentals mineral deposits parameters, problems of their identificätion 6. Quality of the mineral deposit reserves and resources. 7. Main parts of the mineral deposits reserves estimation. 8. Traditional methods for reserves estimation. 9. Modern methods for reserves estimation. 10. Mineral deposits reserves in the phases of the mineral deposits exploration and development 11. Mineral deposits reserves in the phases of the mineral deposits mining and closure. 12. Register mineral deposits reaserves. 13. Role and importance of reserves in the process of exploration, exploitation and termination of mineral. 14. Mining Act and subsequent laws in relation to mining geology, major tasks and methods of management of the geological service.
