Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The objective is development of student's skills to assess by the application of systems analysis quality of rock environment of specific area for special engineering applications. It have to be realized with the application of all accessible sources of information about the area.

The students will learn within the subject Regional engineering geology to enjoy systematically all accessible information about rock environment during the creation of conceptual and comprehensive model of rock environment structures and materials in specific area.

Methods of geological and engineering geological classification of rock environment 8. Engineering geological conditions of Bohemian massif, crystalline basement, unmetamorphic prevariscan basement and Permian-Carboniferous basins 9. Engineering geological conditions of Cretaceous basins and Tertiary depressions 10. Engineering geological conditions of Neovolcanic rocks 11. Engineering geological conditions of Western Carpathians in the Czech Republic 12. Engineering geological conditions of Carpathian Foredeep amd Carpathian Flysch zone 13. Case studies of regional engineering geological study of rock environment in selected areas
