The aim of the Regional Geology is to understand geological development and geological properties on the territory of Czech Republic. For the foreing students there are individually prepared study material according to country of their origin.

Subject syllabus:
Přednáška:
Postavení Českého masívu v rámci geologické stavby Evropy. Moldanubická
oblast.Kutnohorsko-svratecká oblast. Středočeská oblast (Bohemikum). Sasko-
durynská oblast Českého masívu. Lužická oblast (krkonošsko-jizerské
krystalinikum, orlicko-sněžnické krystalinikum včetně novoměstského,
zábřežského a staroměstského krystalinika). Moravskoslezská oblast
(Brunovistulikum, paleozoikum moravskoslezské oblasti). Permokarbonské pánve
Českého masívu. Platformní vývoj Českého masívu. Vývoj Českého masívu v
terciéru. Kvartérní vývoj Českého masívu.Vztah Českého masívu a alpsko-
karpatského orogénu (jihovýchodní "svahy" Českého masívu). Vnější Karpaty -
flyšové pásmo a čelní karpatská předhlubeň.
Cvičení:
Studium horninového materiálu jednotlivých dílčích jednotek Českého masivu a
Západních Karpat, Konstrukce geologických řezů na podkladě generelní geologické
mapy České republiku 1 : 200000. Studium regionálně geologických publikací
podle zadání cvičícího pedagoga a zpracování seminární práce na zadané
regionálně geologické téma
