Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Our intention is to provide a broad coverage of topics (see annotation of the course) in order to acquaint students with the basic principles of the subject taught and their practical applications.

Summary
Transport of solutes, environmental modeling. Pollutants in water – transport processes – diffusion, dispersion. Modelling of solutes transport in streams. Non-dissolved solids, erosion and transport of sediments. Overview of transport models in surface streams. (SWAT, AGNPS, BASIN).
Modelling of solute transport in groundwater in saturated zone. Governing equations of solute transport in groundwater.
Advective transport – analytical and numerical solution. Transport with hydrodynamic dispersion and reactions.
Methodology of transport model construction – conceptual model, types of transport boundary conditions, initial conditions.
Input data – calibration , uncertainty analyses.
Utilization of transport modeling in risk analyses.
