Teaching methods
Summary
Technical cultural monument categories according to sphere of human activity.
Importance of the technical monuments for human society progress.
Investigation, record-keeping and utilization of the technical monuments,
museum importance for saving and protection of the technical monuments.
Technical museums in the Czech Republic and in the worldadvancement of museum
activity in our countries from 16. to 20. centuries. Technical monuments
concerning a coal and ore mining in the Czech Republic. The other types of the
technical monuments and their connecting with mining activity – waterworks and
water transport, water mills and wind mills, ferrous metallurgy and non –
ferrous metalurgy, railway traffic, road and air transportation etc. Technical
monuments connected with light industry development – paper, textile, glass,
brick – and – tile industries etc. Statement of the important technical
monuments, which are situated in the area of the Czech Republic. Interesting
geological objects as the subjects of wide public interest.

Subject syllabus:
1. Úvod do problematiky – definice a kategorizace technických památek a
technických kulturních památek (TKP). Rozdělení TKP podle oboru lidské
činnosti, význam TKP pro pochopení vývoje a úrovně techniky v různých obdobích
našich dějin.
2. Problémy výzkumu, evidence a využití technických památek, obsahová náplň
technických památek a jejich evidence.
3. Přehled neznámějších muzeí techniky na našem území a ve světě –
charakteristika.
4. Technické kulturní památky, související s rozvojem uhelného a rudného
hornictví na našem území – (technické památky po rýžování zlata v náplavech,
dobývání rud a uhlí apod.).
5. Technické památky mapující vztah činnosti lidí k hornictví – vodní díla a
vodní doprava, ostatní dopravní systémy, železářství a hutnictví, výroba skla,
kamenářství, keramika atd.
6. Technické památky lehkého průmyslu (zemědělská výroba – větrné a vodní
mlýny, papírenství, tkalcovství atd).
