Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The goal is to provide information on the collection, storage and distribution of drinking and process water. Furthermore, in the subject discussed drainage issues and fundamentals of community, ie. sewerage infrastructure, buildings, the sewer systems, problems of waste water and waste water interaction with the hydrological network of the area. Crucial subjects of interest is also the design of sewer networks and retention tanks for efficient zládání extreme phases of the hydrological cycle in the area. Emphasis is placed on practical aspects of urban hydrology and the use of GIS and other specialized software for network analysis and design of urban hydrology - SWMM, MIKE URBAN, etc.
Output knowledge, skills and competence:
After completing the course the student should demonstrate knowledge of the concepts of urban hydrology, water supply and urban hydrology. And both at the theoretical basis of the issues and the level of practical applications in GIS and simulation tools.
