Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Curriculum is structured into thematic areas in order to familiarize students the basics of meteorology and climatology and atmospheric physics. The subject is given basic information on the atmosphere in Earth's geological history, basic characteristics and dynamics of Earth's atmosphere. Another important aspect is the application of meteorological and climatological knowledge in disciplines such as hydrology, water management, forestry and agriculture. Output knowledge, skills and competence: After completing the course the student should demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts, understanding of basic processes and phenomena in the atmosphere, being able to explain the meteorological and climatological phenomena and events that are taking place in it. The course also enables the understanding of weather and climate forecasts and adopt ways of obtaining meteorological data and information.
