Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to inform students with the tourism geography in different parts of the world. After completing the subject, the student should have knowledge of the basic concepts, theory and methodology of tourism geography and should understand the relation of factors that affect tourism. Knowledge from geography in different parts of the world helps in the preparation of offers and products of tourism.

Summary

The subject is focused on the classification of tourism and on the description of individual factors (natural and socio-economic) affecting the deployment of tourism. Students will get information about localization, selective and realization prerequisites of tourism. The practical part of the exercise is focuses on the planning and preparation of excursions with geoscience themes.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Znalostí jsou v průběhu semestru kontrolovány pomocí semestrálního projektu a prezentacemi v MS PowerPoint. Studium předmětu je zakončeno zkouškou, ke které lze přistoupit až po získání zápočtu. Zkouška má písemnou a ústní část.

Factors affecting the deployment of tourism I. - natural prerequisites of tourism. 5. Factors affecting the deployment of tourism II. - socio-economic prerequisites of tourism. 6. Location, selective and realization prerequisites of tourism. 7. Spatial organization of tourism. 8. Types of maps, GIS and global navigation systems in tourism. 9. Tourism geography in the Czech republic. 10. Tourism geography in Europe. 11. Tourism geography in America. 12. Tourism geography in Asia. 13. Tourism geography in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.
