Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to learn to work with literature and information materials, define, describe and analyze montane and technical monuments, natural attractions and to get acquainted with the concept of montane heritage, applied to Central European countries, with the basic concepts of montane tourism, with the implementation and presentation of montane tourism in new destinations and places, where montane tourism is successfully implemented. Interpretation of the information obtained form Speaking before a group of people will enable students to apply the lessons learned from the seminar work.

Summary
Students will acquire the characteristics of montane tourism, as well as the description and evaluation of the montane landscape and tourist facilities. They will be acquainted with the characteristics of individual types of montane objects, how to care for and protect montane objects to describe montane archeology. He will learn about the history of mining in Europe, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The subject is focused on characterization and description of mining and metallurgical technology, and also a description of selected monumental monuments found on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The aim is also to acquaint students with the characteristics of montane monuments in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, also examples of mountain tourism in the Czech Republic, and the characteristics of selected mining museums, open-air museums, educational trails and mine works.
