Summary

The subject gives the main brief characterization of geophysical methods. In every method group or every method it gives the characterization of measured physical field, equipments, methodics of measurements and data processing , the anomaly kinds a their interpretations. The object also talks about examples of geophysical methods utilization.

1. Introduction to geophysics, basic principles, methods, geophysics and geosciences 2. Basic terminology, principles of processing and interpretation of geophysical data (geophysical fields, normal field and anomalous bodies, qualitative and quantitative interpretation, data visualization) 3. Physical properties of rocks affecting geophysical response 4. Geophysical maps, mapping and geophysical data visualization 5. Gravity methods 6. Magnetic methods 7. Resistivity methods 8. SP, IP and electromagnetic surveys 9. Seismic methods 10. Seismology 11. Radiometric methods 12. Geothermic methods 13. Well logging – geophysical measurement in boreholes
