Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Goal of the subject is to provide knowledge to the university student, so he/she will be able to understand given points at issue good enough to apply them in practical work. Student also obtains ability to partially analyse, categorize and classify major requirements of the mineral deposits for geological works.

Morphology of Mineral Deposits. Geological Environment of the Formation of Mineral Deposits. Magmatic Deposits. Pegmatites. Carbonatites. Contact Metasomatic Deposits. Greisenic Deposits. Subject syllabus:

Význam nerostných surovin pro ekonomiku státu, základní pojmy: nerostná surovina, ložisko, faktory je ovlivňující. Minerální složení ložisek nerostných surovin, vítané a nevítané příměsi, tvary ložiskových těles, druhy klasifikací ložisek nerostných surovin. Geologické podmínky vzniku ložisek nerostných surovin, ložiska magmatická, pegmatitová, karbonatitová, greisenová, kontaktně-metasomatická, hydrotermální, hydrotermálně sedimentární, hydrogenní, zvětrávací, sedimentární, metamorfní. Průmyslové typy ložisek rudných (kovy skupiny železa, neželezné kovy, vzácné kovy, drahé kovy, stopové prvky, vzácné zeminy). Průmyslové typy ložisek nerudných (stavební suroviny, suroviny chemického a potravinářského průmyslu a zemědělství, průmylové nekovové suroviny). Průmylové typy palivoenergetických surovin (kaustobiolity - skupina uhlí, skupina přírodních uhlovodíků. Radioaktivní suroviny). Průmyslové typy hydrominerálních surovin a plynů (minerální vody a plyny, naftové vody s Br, I, B. solanky, hydrotermální vody, sladké vody pitné a vody pro technologické použití, mořská voda, inertní plyny). Stručný přehled nerostné surovinové základny ČR. Světové trhy nerostných surovin. Ceny nerostných surovin. Prognóza vývoje spotřeby a těžby nerostných surovin ve světě a v ČR faktory je ovliňující.
