Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Goal of the subject is to provide knowledge to the university student, so he/she will be able to understand given points at issue good enough to apply them in practical work. Student also obtains ability to partially analyse, categorize and classify major requirements of the mineral deposits for geological works.

Mineral Deposits ( Metalliferous, Nonmetalliferrous, Fuel and Energy Minerals and Hydrominerals and Gases. Explanation of the most Significative Terms (Mineral Raw Material, Mineral Deposit, Resources (Measured, Indicated, Inferred), Reserves ( Proved, Probable, Measured). Factors Controlling Mineral Availability (Geologic, Engineering, Environmental, Economic). Origin of Mineral Deposits. Geologic Setting of Mineral Deposits. Distribution of Mineral Deposits. Morphology of Mineral Deposits. Geological Environment of the Formation of Mineral Deposits. Magmatic Deposits. Pegmatites. Carbonatites. Contact Metasomatic Deposits. Greisenic Deposits. Porphyry Deposits. Hydrothermal Deposits. Hydrogenic Deposits. Sublimates. Hydrothermal-sedimentary Deposits. Weathering deposits. Sedimentary ( mechanical, chemical, biogenic) Deposits. K zápočtu studenti předloží protokoly z praktických cvičení se zpracovanými úkoly. Studium předmětu je zakončeno zkouškou, ke které lze přistoupit až po získání zápočtu. Zkouška má písemnou a ústní část.
