Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The main goal of this subject is to learn to students to orientace on various types of hydrocarbons deposits, to design opening of this deposits and to project suitable exploration methods. Next goal is economic evaluation of exploration methods including possibilities of aplication of secondary or tertiary exploration methods in the context of influence of this technologies on environment.

Summary
Study of this subject is directed at these fundamental problems of oil and gas
production – types of natural hydrocarbon deposits and their development and
evaluation, main variants of working methods (natural flow exploitation, lift
production, mechanized exploitation methods etc.), well stimulation (acid
treatment, hydraulic fracturing), secondary and tertiary production methods,
hydrodynamical methods of reservoir strata and well investigation, underground
well repairs, collecting, transport and processing of gas and treatment of
water, effect of oil and gas production upon an environment, old depleted
deposits and their maintenance. Attention will be paid also to the economical
problems and marketing in the field of oil and gas production.
