Cílem předmětu je předat posluchačům základní znalosti z ekonomicko-geologické problematiky. Pochopením tohoto obecného základu může být jeho další aplikace a uplatňování v praxi. Znalosti z tohoto předmětu posluchači uplatní ve své řídící a organizační práci, kde můžou těchto znalostí využít při posuzování a obhajování navržených a řešených prací.

Summary
Geological service and its division. Kinds of geological works done for the
state and private sectors. Specific features of works performed in the
framework of deposit geology of metalliferous and nonmetalliferous raw
materials, fuels and energy minerals, engineering geology, hydrogeology,
drilling and geophysical investigation. The assessment of particular types of
geologic-exploratory works. A price policy and factors affecting it. The value
of the deposit of mineral raw material. Methods of evaluating investments in
entrepreneurship in the sphere of geological exploration and branches
connected
