Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to verify the practical skills and knowledge relating to geology, mineralogy, petrography, mining history and theory of tourism visits to selected geological lignite-bearing localities.

Teaching methods

Terrain work

Summary

Field trips take place in the form visit of selected localities. Locations are selected according to the specification of tour. The student is acquainted with the geology, with specific mineralogical, petrological and bearing characteristics of the stops and history of mining mineral resources. Some localities have the character quarries and field outcrops. The program excursion involves visits to museums and the geological (mining) collections. The students samples of rocks and minerals at appropriate outcrops.
