Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Curriculum is structured into thematic areas in order to familiarize students
the basics of meteorology and climatology with a narrower focus on hydrological information and data, measurement of these elements and their further use for hydrological and hydrometeorological forecast analysis in GIS.
Output knowledge, skills and competence:
After completing the course the student should demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts, understanding of basic processes and phenomena in the atmosphere, being able to explain the meteorological and climatological phenomena and events that are taking place in it. The course also enables the understanding of weather and learn the ways of obtaining meteorological data and information. In particular, the course is focused on hydrological data, hydrological processes and concepts. After understanding the context of each student is able to use basic analytical tools of GIS.
