Teaching methods

Summary

Basic terms of management and their classification. Managerial functions, the character of managerial activity, critical factors of success of management. Decision-making processes in planning and their implementation. The formulation of an entrepreneurial strategy, entrepreneurial behaviour and competition. Organizing. Factors affecting the choice of the organization structure. The selection, distribution and evaluation of workers. The leadership of people and forms of their supervision.Geology and its position in the national economy and in relation to entrepreneurship towards the state and private sectors. Basic terms of marketing in relation to geology. Marketing activities. Marketing in the profit and nonprofit environments. A marketing plan, marketing research, the collection of marketing information. The price of a geological “product” and factors affecting it. Price policy. Promotion. Control of the marketing plan.

Subject syllabus:

Základní pojmy managementu a jejich klasifikace. Manažerské funkce, charakter manažerské činnosti, kritické faktory úspěchu v managementu. Rozhodovací procesy v plánování a jejich realizace. Tvorba podnikatelské strategie, podnikatelské chování a konkurence. Organizování. Faktory ovlivňující volbu organizační struktury. Výběr, rozmístění a hodnocení pracovníků. Vedení lidí a formy jejich kontroly. Geologie a její postavení v národním hospodářství a ve vazbě na podnikání vůči státnímu i soukromému sektoru. Základní pojmy marketingu ve vztahu ke geologii. Marketingové aktivity. Marketing v ziskovém a neziskovém prostředí. Marketingový plán, marketingový výzkum, shromažďování marketingových informací. Cena geologického „výrobku“ a faktory ji ovlivňující. Cenová politika. Propagace. Kontrola marketingového plánu.
