Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course deals with the methodology of mathematical data processing in geosciences; the basic properties of natural objects and modelling of these objects, exploratory data analysis, the basics of geostatistics, interpolation of a function and with the way in which to understand these notions from both theoretical and practical points of view. The basic methods of collecting and analysing geo-data are introduced. The students are taught how to use these general methods to solve the problems arising from other courses of their study and from practice.
