Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Graduates of the course can handle the processing of seismological data. Determination of the parameters of the Seismological pulse at the point of registration and at the place of its origin.

Summary

Theory of seismic waves. Ways of earthquake waves registration , seismogram processing – determation of the seismic focus and the earthquake mechanism. Assessment of reliability of earthquake prognosis. Principles of the microseimological methods a seismic effects assessment of blasting explosives and gas blow-out, main principles of seismic zoning and microzoning.
