Summary
Basic terms of deposit geology. Factors affecting the importance of the
deposit. The mineralogical composition of deposits of mineral raw materials,
desirable admixtures and impurities. Types of classifications of deposits of
mineral raw materials. The genetic classification of deposits of mineral raw
materials (magmatic, pegmatite, carbonatite, contact-metasomatic, pyrite
polymetallic, hydrothermal, hydrogenic, weathering, sedimentary – mechanical,
chemical and biogenic-, metamorphic deposits). Industrial types of
metalliferous, nonmetalliferous deposits, deposits of fuels and energy
minerals
and hydromineral deposits. An overview of their world reserves and
productions.
The deposit base of the Czech Republic.
