Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to inform students with the knowledge of engineering geology which to enable them to understand the substantive content of the subject to be able to apply it in practical activities of study discipline.

Teaching methods

Individual consultations


Engineering-geological characteristic of rock environment. Common and teleological classification of rocks and rock massifs. Geodynamic processes, causes, mechanisms, resulting diversifications and their forecast. Valuation of engineering-geological situation in relation to a geologic construction, geomorphology, hydrogeological and hydrological conditions and anthropogenic activity consequences. Object is identified to graduates of ungeological branches of university studies.
