Summary
The definition of the term “building raw material”. Natural stone and its
classification. Raw materials for the production of artificial aggregate. Raw
materials for the production of mortar materials and binders (lime, cement,
plaster). Technical properties of building materials. Major building raw
materials (intrusive rocks, vein igneous rocks, extrusive rocks, sedimentary
rocks, metamorphites). An overview of the Czech base of building raw materials
and their position in the Czech mineral resources. A brief overview of
European building raw materials. The importance of building raw materials for
the balance of payment of the Czech foreign trade.
