Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with a possibility of using alternative energy sources with special attention to geothermal energy, especially to low-energy thermal sources. Students must acquire the knowledge of analytical methods of evaluation of input data on observed geohydrodynamic systems, and on the basis of synthesis to propose an optimal use of the given sources, including a methodology for drilling and equipping boreholes for heat pumps in accordance with the mining act, water act and building act. Then to be able to apply this knowledge also in further professional activities.
