Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main goal of this subject is to learn to students to orientace on various types of hydrocarbons deposits, to design opening of this deposits and to project suitable exploration methods. Next goal is economic evaluation of exploration methods including possibilities of aplication of secondary or tertiary exploration methods in the context of influence of this technologies on environment.

Summary

Hydrocarbon deposits – types, evaluation and development. Location of oil reserfves in the world. Evolution of oil prices. OPEC countries and the other producers. Production methods. Natural flow production, lift production, artifical lift methods. , ). Secondary and tertiary production methods. . Underground well repair. Collecting, transportation and processing of fluids and gases. Oil and gas production effect on surrounding environment. . Depleted old deposits and possibilities of their utilization.
