Student gets, following knowleges gain by study of previous basic geological subjects (mineralogy, petrology etc.), ability to operate with physical geology, structure geology analysis and tectonics.

Summary

Geological cycle, endogenous and exogenous geological processes. Stratigraphy – sedimentary structures. Genesis of the Earth, plate tectonics. Magmatism. Magmatic bodies classification. Metamorphosis – metamorphic phacies. Strain analysis – deformation. Principles of strain and dynamic analysis. Geological compass – geometric analysis and statistical analysis of structure data. Structure mapping – basic procedures. Construction of geological maps and cross-sections. Exogenous dynamic of the Earth, weathering, slope processes, water and its role in geological processes.
