Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
appraise of interpretation of hydrochemical values, the interconnection and identification of dependence between hydrochemical parameters. Increasing of knowledges on behaviour of inorganic and organic pollutants.

Physical properties of water and water solutions, chemical equilibria in
waters, prototypic and precipitation equlibria, composition of waters.
Inorganic substances in waters, metals, halogenides. Organic compounds in
waters. Classification of water groups: natural, drinking, technical, waste,
sewage.

The request on the student is the examination from hydrogeochemistry during BC/MS studium or other subject devoted in instrumental analytic method.

Subject syllabus:
Physical properties of water and solution, chemical equilibrium in waters, protolytic and precipitation equilibrium, chemical composition of watres, Inorganic compounds in water: halogenides, phosphates, nitric-compounds, main cations, alkali metals, heavy metals. Natural organic matter (NOM), organic pollutant in waters (PAH, BTEX, AOX). Water classification: waste water, drinking water, municipal waste water. Eutrophization - cause, concentration of nutrients and chlorophyll, water ecotoxicity evaluation. The method of determination - main indicators.
